After meeting with terminal appendix cancer patient Jay Fear, 45, Deadpool told the BBC, "He is exceptional and his family is wonderful."

Wrexham Association Football Club co-owner Ryan Reynolds is changing lives.

Deadpool met 45-year-old Wrexham fan Jay Fear, who has terminal appendix cancer, on Saturday, the BBC said.

"Meeting Jay was great. "I wonder if I'd have the same unwavering joy if our roles were reversed," Reynolds told the BBC after the 20-minute visit with Fear and his family,

"He is an exceptional person and his family is wonderful," the 46-year-old actor said of meeting Fear at Wrexham's Racecourse Stadium,

where Reynolds and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney's team won promotion to the English Football League after more than a decade.

"I got a little choked up talking to him and feeling how much his kids and wife are going to miss him," Reynolds said tearfully.
