Cardinals Nick Bosa has vanished. Bosa warned Arizona and former general manager Steve Keim before the 2019 NFL Draft, where the Cardinals had the top choice.
The Cardinals had just hired Kliff Kingsbury as their head coach, and reports leading up to the draft strongly suggested they were pursuing Kyler Murray despite picking Josh Rosen in the first round a year previously.
Rosen had a poor debut season. Edge rusher Bosa was also a notable prospect.
Bosa warned Keim and Kingsbury about the consequences of passing on him in their pre-draft meeting.
“He puts his arm around me and Kliff Kingsbury, both of us, in basically a headlock,” Keim told Colin Cowherd on Fox Sports' "The Herd" on Friday.
“He said, ‘I think you guys are going to end up taking that little quarterback, and if you do,’ he looked over at me and said, ‘Steve, I will haunt you for the rest of your career.’”
Murray's career has been rocky, while Bosa has become one of the league's greatest defensive players.
Bosa and Murray earned offensive and defensive Rookie of the Year.
